Can I use olive wood products with food?
Our olive wood cutting boards, serving boards and kitchen utensils are designed for everyday use in the kitchen. Whether you're preparing ingredients or presenting your favourite dishes, olive wood combines practical use with a warm, distinctive appearance.
Clean the wood with lukewarm water and mild soap after use. Dry it immediately and treat it regularly with a suitable wood care oil.
Our epoxy charcuterie boards are also food safe. They are made for presenting snacks and dishes and are a decorative eye-catcher on your table or in your home. Avoid cutting directly on the epoxy.
How do I care for olive wood products?
For a long lifespan:
- Hand wash with lukewarm water and mild soap.
- Dry immediately, do not soak.
- Oil regularly with olive oil to prevent drying out.
- Do not clean in the dishwasher or with aggressive cleaning products.

Where does our olive wood come from?
Our olive wood products are made from wood released when olive trees are pruned and from olive trees that no longer bear fruit.
Our artisans transform this wood by hand into cutting boards, serving boards, bowls and other home accessories. This gives the wood a new purpose, with each piece featuring its own colour, shape and grain pattern.

What ingredients are used in your soaps?
Our soaps are made using olive oil and other plant oils through the cold process method.
The ingredients vary by product. You can find the complete ingredient list (INCI) on each product page, allowing you to check the ingredients and choose the soap that best suits your preferences.
Do your soap bars contain glycerin?
Glycerin is naturally formed during the saponification of oils in the soapmaking process.

How should I store my soap?
Let the soap drain thoroughly on a dry surface after use, preferably on a soap dish. This keeps the soap usable for longer. Using it in the shower? Make sure it does not sit in a pool of water, as this shortens its lifespan.
Are your soaps suitable for all skin types?
Our soaps are formulated with natural ingredients and olive oil and are generally suitable for daily use. Since every skin is unique, we recommend testing a small amount on a small area of skin first if you have a specific skin condition.
Can I use your soap bars on my face, body or hair?
That depends on the soap bar you choose. Our collection includes different personal care products, each designed for a specific use.

Returns and custom orders
Do you offer personalised products?
We do not offer personalisation for private orders. For business orders we can, for example with your logo. Visit our Business collaboration page or get in touch with us.
What should I do if my order arrives damaged?
Contact us as soon as possible at info@woodandolives.com and include photos of the product and the packaging. We will make sure you get a suitable solution.
Can I return a product?
Yes, you can withdraw from your order within 14 days of receipt via Withdraw from your order at the bottom of every page. You then have 14 days to send the product back. You can read all the details in our Refund policy.
